About the artist
Hi, my name is Emma (she/her) and I’m a belgian-canadian jewellery artist based in Antwerp. I have studied jewellery design at a number of well-known institutions including The Glasgow School of Art, the Goldschmiedeschule Pforzheim and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp.
My artistic practice focuses on transforming electronic dance music into jewellery through various methods. These include a specially-designed writing system, taking visual elements from the music production process and giving them a 3-dimensional twist, or exploring patterns and movement within the music through material and technique. My work is predominantly made out of laser-welded stainless steel.
